Product Info: Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is the House’s deliciously unexpected interpretation of the genre. This precious vintage rosé champagne is a resolutely original cuvée which combines rarity with the ability to surprise. A perfect blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in almost equal proportions, with a small quantity of Meunier grapes, all sourced from the finest vineyards in the Champagne region. The delicate, pale peach hue of this special vintage rosé champagne belies its extravagantly sensual personality, which is characterised by alluring notes of pink flowers and small red berries. Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is a pure extravagance. As part of the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Collection, this vintage champagne is presented in a bottle bearing the iconic spray of white Japanese anemones designed for the House in 1902 by Emile Gallé, a master of the Art Nouveau movement. This emblematic motif, recognised throughout the world, is the ultimate expression of the House’s enduring bond with art and nature.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: A pale peach hue, and alive with fine and constant bubbles. Nose: Pronounced, fragrant aromas of pink flowers and wild strawberries. Taste: A wonderfully fresh and lively wine on the palate with a long, lingering finish. An extravagant and voluptuous champagne.Â
Brand/Product History: The winter was relentless, and was followed by a hot spring and summer. August brought abundant rainfall, and more rain during the harvest undermined the quality of the grapes. Maison Perrier-Jouët undertook a rigorous selection and devoted the best of the harvest to Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé, a cuvée whose style was favoured by the conditions, and the only one for which it declared a vintage. Characterised by remarkable vinosity, this is thus a particularly rare cuvée.
